The article discusses the concept of social intelligence as clearly agreed set of skills that are developed in the process of socialization. The understanding of the phenomenon of social intelligence in psychological science is considered, as well as peculiarities of its formation and development in a preschool age child. Violation of speech and cognitive development of children with speech pathology prevents them from full-fledged communication links with others, complicates contacts with adults and can lead to the team’s isolation of peers.
