Summary

Currently, a significant percentage of children starting school show immaturity of motor skills and instability to maintain balance, they have difficulty walking, and often fall. Research in this area reveals an obvious connection between a child’s motor immaturityand school failure. This fact encourages the search and application of techniques aimed at the correction and development of motor and cognitive areas in preschool and early school age. This task becomes possible with neuropsychological corrective methods. Neuropsychological correction for delayed or damaged development of psychophysical children’s functions, in particular with musculoskeletal disorders, is one of the important modern areas of correctional pedagogy and special psychology, which uses compensatory capabilities of the child’s brain. The article reveals one of the innovative methods, which is successfully implemented in the disorders correction of psychophysical development of children with special educational needs. Neuropsychological methods of correction are based on the theory of systemic dynamic localization of human higher mental functions, their harmonious development contributes to the motor development of the child and overall increases the school performance. The main content of this method is determined and the general characteristic and practical exercises are given. Prospects for the use of neuropsychological correction methods for children with special educational needs.
