Summary

The article clarifies the approaches to solving the problem of integration in school literature education and defines its methodological conditions. The content of the core concepts and their interpretation in teaching Ukrainian literature are clarified. The key ideas of integrated literature study are: 1) teacher's awareness of the literature of the basic provisions of integrated learning, 2) procedure and management of integrated study, 3) the high level of a teacher’s competence. There are such methodological conditions of integrated teaching of literature as designing a holistic integration system for school literary education, specifics of the reader’s perception of modern students (who represent «media» generation), implementation of integrated learning in combination with student-base approach, development of problem-solving skills and creativity.
