Summary
The methodological development demonstrates the experience on the problem-based approach to develop students’ information competence through critical thinking technology. The concepts of «interactive methods» and «politicization» are revealed. The connection between digital competence (core one), subject competence (historical one), and the development of critical thinking of students is determined. The experience of working on the topic is demonstrated through a history lesson in the 9th grade from Section 5 «Ukrainian lands as part of Austria-Hungary in the second half of the XIX century» on the topic: «Politicization of the Ukrainian national movement in the 90s of the XIX century». This topic occupies a particularly important place in the history of the entire «long XIX century».
