Summary

An educational reform is being implemented in Ukraine. It is oriented on updating the content and form of education. From the view of business management schools are treated as organizations, which are subject to the rules and methods of various management theories, and many of them are integral in their essence. Among the recognized methods for analyzing the situation in education are understanding of evolutionary changes through integral psychology (Ken Wilber), spiral dynamics (Clare Graves, Don Beck, Chris Cowan), Ichak Adizes’ developmental theory of organizations. This article represents consideration of the reforms in Ukrainian education taking into account the practical experience of some European educational institutions such as the Swiss school in Winterthur. The concepts of educational development within integral management and spiral dynamics are discussed in the article. Some practical aspects of the work of Robert Macleod, who is an integral coach, are also analyzed. Conclusions are drawn about the steps that have already been made and to be done in Ukrainian education to acquire a degree of independence and democracy inherent in European schools.
