Summary

The article is devoted to the professional adaptation of young teachers in their fist working years. Professional adaptation is usually considered as a system of measures that promote professional development, as well as help the young specialist to enter a new social role. From the point of sociology, professional adaptation includes self-identifiation with new status, culture, and values of the professional environment. Young teachers most often encounter the problem of adaptation in the new team. A common feature for all teachers beginners is that they have a very good idea of the purpose and objectives of the school. As a rule, they have a quite high level of educational training, however, the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience can lead to signifiant diffilties in the period of adaptation. The result can be even an outflw of young professionals who have not found their own position in this profession. Therefore, one of the most important qualities for any job is professional mobility. The article also substantiates the relevance of the professional mobility of beginners teachers. An analysis of the social mobility concept designed by Pitirim Sorokin is made in the article.
