Summary

The scientific article is dedicated to the question of the unique and extremely acute peculiarities of understanding the inimitable personality and creativity of the great Ukrainian poet Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. The unique views of the author of «The Voice from the Choir» on Kobzar are predetermined by a rather tragic fate of the writer Andrii Syniavskyi, who because of his disagreement with the Soviet government, was exiled. Having analyzed T. Shevchenko’s poems, the scientist concluded that from the aesthetic point of view, they were ahead of their times, at least for half a century; he found out the onset of influences of Kobzar on the Ukrainians’ fate as a national hero who managed to embody in his creativity the eternal desire of Ukrainians to obtain freedom. Thus, Andrii Syniavskyi identified the mental uniqueness of the Ukrainians and their advantage over the Russians within the process of moral and emotional perception of reality.
