Summary
The theses reveal the artistic and methodological value of literary heritage by K. Ushinsky - an outstanding teacher of XX century. A system of tasks based on text-centricity (text-creating) for the productive use of his fairy tales and stories in the Ukrainian language lesson is proposed.
