Summary
“Ukrainian Wreath. Mykolaiv Region” is a regional partial program focused on intercultural and civic education of children of middle and senior preschool age who attend preschool education institutions in the Mykolaiv region. The content of the program is aimed at forming socio-civic competence in children of middle and senior preschool age - the ability to demonstrate personal qualities, social feelings, love for the Motherland; readiness for meaningful participation in social events taking place in children's center, community, society, to improve life together. The program and methodological complex (PMK) “Ukrainian Wreath. Mykolaiv Region” is aimed at intercultural and civic education of children of middle and senior preschool age and is based on the first part of the integrated cross-curricular course “Culture of Good Neighbourliness”, developed by specialists of the Information and Research Center “Integration and Development”. Its goal is to prepare the child for a conscious life in a democratic society in the spirit of mutual understanding, peace, tolerance, and friendship between all peoples, ethnic, national, and religious groups.
