Summary
An author underlines the necessity of modernization of content and forms of work with educators in the system of in-service teacher training as an indicator of regional educational services ’ quality. The main functions of Mykolaiv regional In-Service Teacher Training institute are also defined. They are: increase of a teacher’s professional competence; support in realization of innovative pedagogical projects; realization of international, all-Ukrainian, regional educational monitoring researches in Mykolaiv area; co-ordination anc scientifically-methodical accompaniment of experimental work in preschool and secondary educational establishments; is scientifically-methodical accompaniment of teachers in theii work with intellectually gifted schoolchildren.
